Located near the bustling Centro Histórico de São Paulo, this lively spot is a go-to for casual, flavorful meals any time of day. The kitchen leans heavily on hearty sandwiches, with slow-roasted pork and mortadella among the more popular picks, alongside options for those seeking lighter fare like turkey with salad or vegetarian choices. Portions are generous, and service tends to be fast despite the steady stream of locals, college students, and tourists filling the simple, no-frills space.
The atmosphere is energetic and often loud — a place where orders are called out and the buzz of conversation fills the room. It’s a place tailored for casual dining, whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite, a late-night meal, or a casual hangout with a beer or coffee. While the setting is straightforward, many appreciate the friendly, attentive staff and the mix of quick counter service and table options that suit solo diners or small groups alike.
With seating inside and options for takeout or delivery, it works well for different moods and schedules. The accessible entrance and restroom support inclusivity, even if there are some limitations when it comes to parking and seating for wheelchair users. Beyond the food, the selection of drinks is broad, from beer and cocktails to coffee and wine, making it a versatile spot whether you’re after a morning pick-me-up or a late-night snack in São Paulo’s historic quarter.

"Thank you for the tasty food and fantastic service!!"
"Fast foods, meals and drinks in the morning, in the afternoon or nights."
"Very good place to eat later tonight with many people"
5 If you are visiting São Paulo you need to go here. The sandwiches are soooo good and the waiters are nice. This will be the first place I come back to when I return to São Paulo.
5 We tried two of the dishes — the mortadela sandwich for 16, which was surprisingly delicious, and the peito de peru with salad for 30, also very tasty. The portions were generous and everything came out quickly. The staff member who served us was extremely friendly, which made the experience even better. The place has a great atmosphere, the food is fast, flavorful, and offers really good value for money. Definitely worth recommending!
5 Don't miss it if you are in SP! Why? Its slow roasted pork sandwich - lanches pernil is awesome. Try one with mozzarella cheese, add some chilly sauce, eat fast why it is warm. The place is popular among locals - so it is happening but super friendly and service is exceptionally fast.
4 If you’re looking for a spot to eat after a night out, Estadão is a must in São Paulo! It’s open 24 hours and famous for its pernil (pork) sandwiches with tons of options. For vegetarians (like me!), there’s a cheese sandwich and fries that totally hits the spot. What’s really unique about this place is the strong Brazilian vibe, it’s always packed, super loud, the staff shouts orders across the counter, but somehow they’re laughing and having fun the whole time. You can also grab fresh natural juices. Tip: ordering is part of the adventure but once you manage, remember: you eat first and pay later!
5 A must visit place in Sao Paulo which I can't recommend enough! Make sure you order Pernil with Cheddar and some beer - it tastes like something from another planet! I also had churrasco there which was a bit underwhelming so wouldn't recommend.
5 This place was recommended by several local friends as a can't miss place while I was in Sao Paulo so I went to visit. It's a very iconic spot near downtown, (caution and common sense is advised) nothing fancy, you go for the food and the ambiance, very colorful characters as well as the locals come here to eat, it opens 24 hrs. I had the pork sandwich with pineapple and it was exquisite, washed down with a local cold beer, exactly what I was looking for. I definitely recommend the experience if you are ever visiting.
5 their pernil sandwich is easily in my top 3 of all sandwiches i’ve ever tried. paired together with very friendly service this is a must visit if you’re in SP
4 This place is an institution in São Paulo. Open 24 hours it is great for late night dining. A huge selection of sandwiches but they are renowned for their Lanches Pernil (slow roasted pork sandwich) which you have to try. This place can be bumping even at 3AM. Just grab a seat and someone will bring you a menu, order and the food will arrive quickly. I visited a couple times because it was close to where I was staying. I only tried the Lanches Pernil, once with the queijo Minas and once plain. One thing I want to highlight is the homemade hot sauce. It takes the sandwiches to the next level.
Many come for the famous slow roasted pork (pernil) sandwiches, especially with mozzarella or cheddar cheese. The mortadela sandwich is also a popular choice among visitors.
The place is great for a quick, flavorful meal but also offers a lively atmosphere if you want to sit down and enjoy your food.
Bar e Lanches Estadão is usually busy and can have a wait, especially during peak meal times, so visiting early or late may be more comfortable.
Both work well—it's popular with groups, college students, and solo diners due to its casual, busy vibe.
The entrance and restrooms are wheelchair accessible, but there is no accessible parking or seating available.
